Fear is one thing that if left go can leave your mind wracked with ideas, notions, and fabricated lies that take over your entire life. Recognizing your fears and understanding why they are there is the first thing you need to take seriously. When you begin to become fearful, you need to stop and recognize that the fear is there and your going to make a conscious effort to choose otherwise. Fill your life with healthy thoughts. Think on things that are good, pure, and true.
Get yourself a TRUTH list. If you need to carry this in your pocket, car, or even beside your bed, than do it! On this card list things that are true, good and right. Begin to concentrate on those things when you feel doubt, fear, and discouragement. The battle is in your mind and the only way your going to conquer these things is by taking "captive" every vain thought and imagination.
Live the full and healthy life you were intended to live, start today by dwelling on the good things you have right now and the wonderful things that are in your future.

The Power of Positive Thinking
This week I have been looking over a few things and I have a question that has been asked before but i wonder what would happen if everyone acted upon this on thing.
What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?
We could most likely think of one or two things we would love to try and be successful at and know without a doubt we would not fail.
But what are the things that hold us back most of the time?
Is it fear? Insecurity? Finances? Relationships? There are so many things that can literally leave you in a paralyzed state of mind. I know because I myself have been there, beaten down by life's
little and big unexpected things. I have seen people I have loved and cared about take on the same response. It is life altering to pick yourself up from something that can leave you destitute or struggling. I do know that there is an amazing strength that lies in the human spirit to overcome and conquer!
I want you to think for a few moments this week and think about what you want to do and what it is that keeps you from taking the next step in your life.
There may be attempts when you fail, there may also be attempts when you succeed. The most important thing you have to keep in mind is that no matter what the outcome...you are changing because of it. maybe you have tried before and it didn't happen for reasons you could not explain, you still have breathe in your lungs and if you know this is something that means much to you and will bring more purpose to your life....than try again.
Have a purposeful week! BE WELL

Simple lifestyle adjustments can help in regulating stress levels.
Unmanaged stress can kill you. There is no simple way around it. It is a huge contributor to heart attacks, disease, and the breakdown of your immune system. There are simple changes that you can make in your every day routine that can help you better manage the stress.
- Turn the cell phones off for awhile, the constant connection through emails, texting, and routine calls can get overwhelming. (Get an answering service or have a recorded message stating you will return the calls later)
-Get enough sleep. Your body can not run on fumes. If your not getting a good nights rest your body can not restore itself from the day before.
-Sit down and eat your meals. Many people eat while in the car, in front of a TV, or a computer. Your mind needs to be able to rest and in order for you to properly digest your food your going to have to really calm down and sit still for awhile.
-Keep your mind focused on positive things. Surround yourself with people and activities which can bring positive life filled words and experiences into your life. Negativity can weigh on you and drain you emotionally, physically, and even spiritually.
Simple changes made every day can lead you to a stronger life....a longer life...and a more healthy life!

Work on YOU!
Many people don't want to work on themselves. The process is too deep, too hard, too painful, too time consuming, too much work, etc...I have heard it all. The truth behind this is very simple though. If you do not work on yourself, no one else will. Change only happens when you put your mind to it and get to a point where the pains of being the same hurt worse then the pains change will bring. If that never comes then most people will continue to live the stagnant, existing life they have always lived. Life is supposed to be thriving, there should be growth, signs of change, positive fruit shown in your life. By fruit I mean qualities that are whole, right, and true. Qualities that are loving, patient, honest, kind, faithful, joyful ,peaceful, and lovely. These kinds of character traits are not given to everyone at birth, some people by nature or ability are more loving and gentle...but all these qualities should be worked on as you progress through life. Qualities are just a tip on the iceberg there are issues of well being that encompasses lifestyle, environment, choices, and spiritual decisions.
It is much easier for some people to just give up on their dreams, their aspirations, their marriages, their families, their well being all for the selfish reason that it is just too much work. Marriage is too hard so they get a divorce. Staying healthy is too difficult and they will never be in good shape so they sulk over a fudge brownie. Working a fulfilling job is out of reach so they work a job they hate till they retire and then live with regret that they never did what they wanted to do or were made to do. Knowing that God wants to have a relationship with them is just too uncomfortable so they spend a lifetime searching for fulfillment in a world full of empty promises and the void is never filled like it should be.
It is about a choice, everyone has them, every single person has the same 24 hours a day, every single day! What choice will you make? What direction will you allow your mind to take you today?

Keep your mind healthy
Just as important as physical health your mind plays a huge role in your emotional and mental health
. All three factors really are connected with one another. If your mind is unhealthy your physical and emotional state can be suffering.
Keep your mind stimulated. If you are in a place where you do dont feel like your using your brain to think, reason, or work towards anything that is a very dangerous place to be. Look for ways to use your mind. It could be something as simple as crossword puzzles, reading a book, or reasearching a new subject. This is one thing that is very hard for elderly people with few activities, but the key is to have something that can be worked on daily that can stimulate your thought process and keep you alert.
Focus on positive things in the world around you. There are many things that can seem gloom and doom and cause our brains to almost have an overload. There really is only so much someone can handle at once. Make a list of things that you are looking forward to, that your thankful for, and that you can appreciate in your life.
Do not expose your thoughts and mind to things that are unhealthy. There things that can be addictive which pose a threat to your potential in how you function on a daily basis. These things can creep in when you are vulnerbale and least expect them to be able to take over your life and mind. Examples can be anything from pornography, violence, drugs, or even unhealthy patterns in your life that keep you from living abundantly.
Get involved with those around you in your community or family. If at all possible try to have things that require your attention and involvement. To have activities in which you can communicate and participlate in on a weekly basis are healthy and a wonderful way to use your mind and keep you healthy.
