Overestimating what you have inhibits change!

"Change is hard because people overestimate the value of what they have—and underestimate the value of what they may gain by giving that up."-JB

Some people think they actually have more than they really do. It is called overestimation. Clinging to something that really has no value or worth in the long run and refusing to let it go...only hurts people. There are other things to gain by letting go. There have been times and will be in the future that I too have had to let go of "good" things in my life. It does not mean that I will never have good things again. I have experienced many times through the pain of giving something good up that I have received something even better.
Most people can not let go, they have a real hard time understanding that letting go does not mean that you have given up, not cared or loved enough; it just means...that you have come to a place where you understand you do not need to be controlled by it anymore and life has to go on
Life will go on. New people, places, and things will come in and out of your life...it is just the way life is. Resisting changes that are in fact good for you, only keeps a person from being and doing all they were meant to in this life. Is this hard? Yes it is! Will there be pain? Of course there will be pain. Will it be worth it? Absolutely!
Let whatever is on your mind now after reading this be the one thing you work on letting go.
