Keep Focused

I read an article recently about an Olympic athlete during the 2004 games. This specific athlete was an expert marksmen, who was at the top of his game. This man was clearly doing what he was made to do and had perfected his talent to a point where he was one shot away from obtaining the gold. He took his final shot and hit the bullseye  directly in the center, however, one thing went terribly wrong...he aimed at the wrong target. This man spent years perfecting his game and his abilities and in one moment of time he lost his focus and it cost him severely. He placed eighth in those Olympic games, not even worthy of a medal of any kind.
The cost of losing focus can be even more daunting in terms of every day living. People strive and work hard for all kinds of things but losing focus when you need to concentrate on what is important can be so destructive to families, your well-being, and your future. There are many good things that come in and out of life, but to achieve the great things, you have to stay focused!
